Updated 16.4.2021
We are running courses as scehduled.
Regarding the newest regultions we are committed to follow the safety procedures. We practise teaching in small groups as always so we can definately guarantee, that the number of people will not exceed 10 people per indoor space. 2 meter safety distance must be taken in mind and increased hand hygiene, overall cleaning and equipment desinfection.
Procedures for diving and dive courses we are commited to follow
1. Wash hands when you arrive
2. Wear a mask when possible
DIVING EQUIPMENT:
1. Desinfect 2nd stage regulators
2. Desinfect BCD inflator
POOL TRAINING:
1. Shower before and after (+ rinse equipment)
2. Use of h ood & gloves strongly recommended
• Reduces transmission risk when hands are protected
• Reduces organic waste entering the pool water so that the chlorine can efficiently perform desinfecting the pool water.
• This is also great training towards open water diving
3. Use mask defogger (not spit)
• Use the defogger before entering the pool
• To prevent mask from fogging take care that you wash your mask before coming to the pool
4. Out-of-air excercises will be simulated or performed with dedicated alternate air sources
IMPORTANT FOR ALL OUR SAFETY:
If you have any symptoms of respiratory infection (fever, cough, shortness of breath, myalgia, fatigue), stay at home!
We are going through some very special times. Hope you are doing well and healthy and have sorted out everyday life around this extraordinary situation. We at Varuste.net are constantly checking out the current situation and are following directions lined by the authorities. By carefully taking precautionary measures, we are doing our best to ensure our common safety during this coronavirus epidemic.
For your information, our store is open normally as follows:
Mon-Fri: 12:00-20:00
Sat: 10:00-18:00
Sun: 12:00-16:00
Our customer service at Varuste.net is ready to answer your questions and inquiries every week day (Mon-Fri) from 09:00 to 17:00 and on Saturdays 10:00-14:00. The direct number for the Diving School is +358 40 525 0412.
Due to the epidemic the emphasize in sales has transfered on to webshops - concerning globally most of the retailers including us.
This means, that the whole process from customer care to shipping parcels on to delivery services might be more cowded than usual. We are doing our very best in this situation, but we need to ask for a bit more patience than normally. Everyone involved works as hard as possible to deliver your order / answer your questions but occasionally delays are inevitable.
Safety wise it is as safe as it gets to shop at Diving School Aalto and Varuste.net. Our webshop and customer service are open as mentioned above. Shipments leave our store normally or with an additional delay at the moment and the delivery time for the products in stock is approximately 3-4 days in Finland . However, this is the part where we reserve 2-3 extra days for deliveries (+extra days depending of country of destination), if we for any reason need to move more staff to their homes. We hope for your understanding in any possible moderate delays.
The packages carried by Post, Matkahuolto, DB Schenker and GLS are currently running normally but there might be some extensions at the time of writing. According to THL (The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare), coronavirus is not transmitted by packages (and that the virus only lives for about a couple of hours on inanimate surfaces) , but direct contact is avoided while home deliveries. The courier leaves the parcel at the door and waits a little farther until the recipient opens the door. The shipment itself will be marked as delivered by the driver and the receiver's autograph is not required.
